Ecclesiastes 3 of the Bible describes "A Time for Everything." Let me share with you this chapter, in New Living Translation (NLT). (I like this particular translation because it is easy to understand; walang mga thou's, thy's and all those "deep" words. Glad we can choose our preferred reading version on the Bible app.)
1 For everything there is a season,
A time for every activity under heaven.
2 A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
3 A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
4 A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
5 A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
6 A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
7 A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
8 A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.

IKR?? Everything makes sense. Well, it is stated in the Bible, so there.
This brings me to my season of life now. I am currently a wife to my husband and a mother to a toddler. This is my priority now, being a homemaker (#titaspeak), and mother. Priorities, meaning they take FIRST place in my (long) list of things to do. Example: Before I can sit down and answer (difficult) work emails, I need to be able to finish feeding P or give her a bath. Another less mababaw example: As much as I love luxury items as the woman next door does, I need to make room in the budget for more practical needs. Like, when I go shopping, I always include stuff for the home, for P, J, and other people.
As women, our seasons in life changes in a manner that is (physically) obvious. For me, teenage years mean studying from morning until evening and basically doing whatever my parents told me to do. Then, as a single, working woman, my concerns were about gimiks, parties and basically paying off credit cards debts. Afterwards, the right Juan came, and it is all about the dating at the coolest joints, wedding planning, all while over-timing at work. Next came pregnancy and motherhood. Starting with TTC (trying to conceive), reading WTE (what to expect) books, and planning for the perfect nursery.

Yun pala, the hard work came after giving birth. 😱😱😱 This is not to discourage expectant moms or soon-to-be expectant moms (and dads), but thing is, nobody told you this whole exclusive breastfeeding, cloth-diapering, baby-led weaning shenanigans would be THIS...challenging! Hence, confeeerrmed "Wonder Woman" and "tita." (See meme below).
ANYWAY. So this is where I am today. If I follow the trends, soon, it will be a new season of school books, uniforms, and who knows what. In the future, God-willing, my kid/s will grow up, have their own families, and leave me & John reeling from empty-nest syndromes.
Thing is, we do not know what the future holds. However, we can do the following while life unfolds: 1) Embrace the current season of our lives. Make the most of it! Love it! Own it! 2) Trust God that He wants the best for us, hence He has already planned out the good life for us. He will make it happen - prosper us, give us a hope and a future! Claim it!
Change has come. And will continue to do so. We cannot sit and wait and be stagnant. We have to be like a tree! Eh di kung summer eh magbloom. Kung fall eh di magwawalis lang ng leaves. Kung umulan eh di hihigop lang ng maraming tubig. Agree??? 🌱🍂🌻🌾
There is no need to hurry a season or be frazzled by it. Yes, minsan madaling sabihin lang yan. That is why every day, we ask for God's grace to help us get through the day. We thank Him for our daily bread. Daily bread lang muna ah, hindi yung pangstock ng sampung taon. 🍞🍞🍞
This too shall pass. So if you are stuck in a rut, in-between deadlines and endless responsibilities, or smeared with an I-hate-myself-&-all-of-you campaign, remember that this too, shall pass.

"God works in seasons. He moves people into your life and moves people out. Here’s the key, not everybody can go where God is taking you. The higher you go, the tighter your circle will become and the more selective you have to be. God wants to take you further." - Joel Osteen
Speaking of, I do not know how long I will continue blogging. Ha, ilang entries pa lang, tapos na agad ang season of sharing ko??? Haha! I truly enjoy writing here. I am grateful and blessed by the likes & comments of friends and also those who PM'd (private-messaged) me (and my husband) to tell me how much they appreciate the blog. Thank you! After one month of it, I realized that it is not easy pala! Hahaha! With that, please do follow me on Instagram @myprobinshallife.😉
