Pippa's First Jollibee Experience & A Failed Kidzoona Trip
28May2016
I know. How can I only introduce the Big Bee to Pippa at age 21 months?
Blame it on our (her parents) healthy eating habits and inclination toward casual-dining options. If I knew earlier her reception towards Jollibee, I would have taken all our meals there and avoided relating to below "memes," so to speak. (Source: IG @fowllanguagecomics)

It was almost 5pm when we left our home in Maa to go to the newly opened mall at Tagum City, that is, Robinson's Place (RP) Tagum.
After an hour-long drive with me and P at the back, with no carseat (we finally got one, but that's for another post), we finally arrived at RP. We were famishedddd! And we had only four options to choose from (#lifeintheprobinsha). Azon's Boneless Lechon, Shakey's, Jerry's Grill and Jollibee. At first, we wanted to go to Shakey's. But seeing the place packed made us make a beeline towards the nearest, most sensible option (as my toddler, P, has yet to try lechon skin), that is Jollibee.
I have a long, happy relationship with Jollibee, especially back when I was working at a bank in Makati City. It was one block away from our office, so it was a staple. I like it better than McDonald's especially if we are talking about desserts. Jollibee's ice cream is much, much creamier. And no aftertaste.
Anyway, I told my husband John to order while we find a spot to sit. My directions to John were to get palabok, chicken, & chocolate sundaes. Bahala na siya mag-combine ng orders basta the three items should arrive. Haha! John came back with two overflowing trays of food and drinks, plus more. Needless to say, he ordered enough for three hungry gorillas. Sorry, no food photos because 1) I didn't realize yet that I needed the photos for my new blog, and 2) did I say we were famisheddd???
I mixed up the palabok (but did not sprinkle on the calamansi because I was lazy/hungry) and gave P a small bite, to taste first. And she LOVED it. For a picky little eater like P, this is HEAVEN. So there, she finished her palabok with pineapple juice to drink, like one happy little camper!
I was so relieved that she ate so well because we were planning on going to the new kids playground inside the mall, Kidzoona. Like I said, PLANNING. Thing is, the mall closes at 8pm. IKR (I Know, Right?). Who closes at 8pm??? On a Saturday? May I add, Saturday, payday weekend. Only in the #probinsha.
We didn't make it in time for Kidzoona because we went on a lil shopping trip to Daiso. I mean, we just can't go swimming with the balls after eating a full meal, right? Needless to say, it was 7:40pm when we made our way towards the 300 square meters playground and the staff were already cleaning and sweeping the floor. We tried to ask them if we can just take a look around (a.k.a. get P to jump into the balls for 10 minutes or so) but no, because closed na nga. Bukas na lang daw. Ok. Sa Makati na lang kami pupunta sa July kasi doon 5 minutes pa lang, nasa Waltermart na kami. Di ko na poh kaya magroadtrip na walang yaya. Hahaha!
Again, I was not able to take photos of Kidzoona Tagum, but here are some pictures of my nephew, Dom, at Kidzoona, Waltermart, Makati City.
So there, thanks Jollibee RP Tagum for the experience!
